Overview

Leslieville, located on Queen Street just east of the Don Valley, is a neighbourhood in transformation. Once considered a mainly working-class neighbourhood, the gentrification process is well underway in this energetic area. The higher end retail stores have found their way into the neighbourhood (including Starbucks), and young professionals and families have started moving in due to the area's beautiful and affordable homes.

Leslieville is also in the midst of a loft boom. Projects like Leslieville Lofts, My Abode Lofts, Worklofts and the like are transforming the landscape quite literally. Young professionals are finding their way into these projects due to the modern urban feel and proximity to the downtown core.
