THE REPUBLIC

The Republic of Yonge and Eglinton Condo will be constructed with a commitment to building “green”. In essence, Green Building seeks to increase the efficiency of energy, water and materials used in building and to reduce their impact on human health and the environment.
This Tridel project will be located just North east of Yonge and Eglinton and will consist of two towers with a total of 449 units. To obtain LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, Tridel will use low-volatile organic-compound paints and carpeting to minimize off-gassing and also use environmentally friendly hardwood flooring. Energy-efficient appliances, windows, lighting and water conservation will also add towards the green rating. Condos begin at $315,000 for a 713 sq. ft. unit with one bedroom and a den.
