Earlscourt

Earlscourt was first settled in the early 20th century by mostly Scottish and British immigrants, and became part of the city of Toronto in 1910. The area is generally described as between Old Weston Road and Dufferin St., Rogers Road and Davenport.

Homes in earlscourt are quite varied, with detached, semi-detached and row houses present. Nearby Earlscourt Park offers a great green space for area residents. The newly-completed St. Clair Rapid Transit Line connects the neighbourhood very efficiently with St. Clair West and St. Clair subway stations. This has reduced the commute time greatly, and has had quite a positive effect on real estate prices in the area as well. The area has become a viable option for people looking for a short commute downtown. The newly-completed Toronto Rail Bike Path also serves the area and gives cyclists a great worry-free path to the downtown core.
